Jan 20, 2025

- Exclusive first launch in Korea of Xplora XGO3 Gen2, the No.1 kids smartwatch brand from Norway

- Introduces a modern watch-type device to Korea’s kids phone market, traditionally dominated by smartphone-style handsets

- Pre-order promotion offers three months of free kids smartwatch plans for the first 1,000 customers

Stage Five announced the exclusive launch of XGO3 Gen2, a Nordic-inspired kids smartwatch designed for young children. The device is part of the XGO series from Xplora, a Norway-based company specializing in kids smartwatches, with more than 1.5 million units sold globally across Europe, North America, and other markets. While Korea’s kids phone market has largely focused on smartphone-style devices paired with higher-pricedplans, the XGO3 Gen2 offers essential features tailored for children aged 4 to 10 at a more accessible price point. The device is expected to appeal to parents who wish to delay smartphone use while still ensuring safe and reliable communication for their children.

The XGO3 kids smartwatch supports core functions such as voice calls, SMS, and location tracking, and includes an activity-based rewards system that converts step counts into points. These points can be redeemed through a dedicated app for music, e-books, games, and other digital content, enhancing usability and engagement for children.

Available in two color options—Pink Zebra and Blue Elephant—the XGO3 Gen2 features IP68 water resistance, a 5MP camera, GPS, school mode, SOS emergency alerts, and real-time location tracking , delivering both safety and convenience.

With extensive experience in manufacturing and distributing kids devices, as well as introducing popular kids phones through telecom operators over the years, Stage Five is celebrating the first exclusive launch of XGO3 in Korea with a pre-order event. From January 20 for 10 days, a limited 1,000 units will be available for pre-order via the Pindirect Mall, with pre-order customers receiving the kids smartwatch mobile plan free for three months.

The device is priced at KRW 179,000 (VAT included). The monthly mobile plan costs KRW 5,500, including 2GB of data, 200 minutes of voice calls, and 200 SMS messages. The official launch begins on January 31, and all customers will receive one year of free after-sales service.

Sangwon Seo, CEO of Stage Five, commented: “Kids smartwatches are highly practical devices for children under the age of 10, as they carry a lower risk of damage or loss compared to smartphones, yet consumers currently have limited choices. We are pleased to introduce a kids smartwatch that has proven popular across Europe and North America to the Korean market for the first time. Going forward, Stage Five will continue to move beyond simply reselling traditional telecom services and introduce a wider range of devices and services that meet real customer needs.”
